From 18-20 August, the Command Group of 12th Aviation Battalion visited the Regional Emergency All-Climate Training (REACT) Center at Camp Douglas, Wisconsin to observe members of the 911th Engineer Company (Technical Rescue) undergoing their annual certification course. Lt. Col. Benjamin Channels and Command Sgt. Maj. Alex Collins and REACT Center Training Officer Dorothy Bristor were on station to view their Rescuers accomplishing core tasks to include rope rescue, confined space rescue, structural collapse rescue, mine/tunnel rescue, and trench rescue. REACT provides Pro Board Level I and II certifications to 911th TREC to enable them to posture for support to a multitude of federal agencies within the National Capitol Region. Overall this visit underpinned the years long relationship between the REACT Center and 12th Aviation Battalion.
