Drilling Inspection Holes

The REACT Center specializes in providing the training required for a safe and successful response to natural and manmade disasters to both Military and Civilian responders.  Our facility is located in Central Wisconsin and provides year round training in technical rescue.  We have at one location, both state of the art classroom facilities for 100 persons with distance learning capability and a 15 acre training ground.  A second classroom is located adjacent to the training ground for instruction during training cycles or exercises.  Meals and break refreshments for students are provided on site.  Lodging for 77 students is available on post in close proximity to both the classroom and training ground.  This minimizes the impact that travel has on our classes. Vertical Breeching

Our 15 acre outdoor training ground is equipped with structures to provide realistic response to collapsed lightweight and heavy construction.  Included in these props are heavy rubble piles, several compromised or partially collapsed light frame structures and an office collapse simulator with pan-caked floors.  Breaching and burning, shoring construction and lifting and moving skills are taught at additional work stations so that the students can learn and improve their skills in a controlled environment.  All tools required are provided for technical rescue training, including heavy equipment needed for structural collapse technician classes.  In 2007, the REACT Center provided training to over 500 firefighters in structural collapse rescue and is the platform for skills maintenance for Wisconsin's Urban Search and Rescue Task Forces. Simunition

Because the REACT Center trains state and local responders, fire departments, military units and USAR teams, we can easily offer responder interaction.  From a civilian-based incident Command staff or EOC, to working side by side with task force members, REACT can facilitate many levels of interaction that will enhance the Homeland Security role of civilian and military CBRNE teams with a wide variety of responder interaction.
