This 2-day course is designed to instruct the student in response to cargo tanks designed to carry hazardous materials. Course objectives include:
- Determine the specification and identification of a cargo tank
- Understand basic construction features of cargo tanks
- Understand the purpose & functions of safety devices associated with cargo tanks
- Understand the basic operating principles of cargo tanks
- Understand the normal loading and unloading process associated with cargo tanks
- Understand the principles behind emergency loading and unloading associated with cargo tanks
- Be familiar with basic containment techniques associated with cargo tanks
The class fee for this course is paid for WI state responders
