The REACT Center was proud to co-sponsor the 2nd Annual Patriot Day Heroes 5K Run/Walk along with the Wisconsin Army and Air National Guard from Volk Field ANGB. This event was held to pay tribute to all who perished during the 9/11 attacks in 2001. All proceeds from the event will be donated to the Fallen Firefighters Foundation, The National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Fund and Freedom Honor Flight.
The Fire Department of New York lost 343 firefighters on 9/11. Over 110 Firefighters have reportedly died of their 9/11 injuries since that day and many more are battling illnesses believed to stem from the contaminated air at the site. Never Forget!
Kudos to the members of Wisconsin US&R Task Force 1 (WI-TF1) and the Grant County Swiftwater Rescue Team for their successful rescue efforts in Crawford County.
